A message to the cast/crew from our youngest TGP actress, Anjali Patel. We love you! Thank you and God bless!

I always enjoyed playing and pretending as a child. When I became older, I really found amazement and fun in watching TV shows and movies. Seeing how people could play and pretend on a bigger level and get more into their imaginations. I was about 9 when I knew acting was what I surely wanted. I would beg my mom to take me to Florida or California so I could audition. She couldn’t due to the scare of scam talent agencies and when I was 14 she took me to, yes! A scam agency. I went home wandering if she was right and if my dream was always going to be a dream and never brought to reality.
Then a year later a movie was being filmed in Las Vegas,New Mexico where I was living at the time. I said to myself, I will find the director and express my interest and ambition of acting. Going forward. I found what's called a casting agent who said she would love to cast me though I hit another road block. It was what is called a SAG production and I was told due to my age and the time span they were filming it would be to late to get me in the film, but to get her information and she would contact me. Next was the wait. I continued through my high school career. Dreaming. Pursuing sports, and academics. I graduates and entered the world of college and work. Then I get a call asking if I wanted to do background work for two movies. Disney’s Lemonade Mouth and a reboot of Friday The 13th. I went with Disney cause of my love for everything I have watched through them. After all thats where I learned to imaginate on a higher realm. After then my dream was here and it was nothing but magical being on the production. I got to watch how it’s all made. I learned how important my role was and how serious it is to take this job because it is what is going to excited the viewers. After production I said what’s next where is the next movie haha and continued to act at home on self made videos and do background work here and there. Til I was ready to audition and portray myself as another character and then another calling came. The Graceful Path which was my first audition.
What did you do to prepare for it?
I prayed. I would pray to God daily to bring me the opportunity. Shortly finding out that I was praying for the wrong thing. God was giving me opportunity to make myself into an actor but not going to grant me a wish if I wasn’t obedient and proved I was ready or willing to climb the heights. When I was 24 I realized why I got into acting and how much fun it was I say and thought how I saw it as a kid. How I wanted to play and use my imagination. I realized it let’s me be many different versions of myself and I could perform for God. As I had always done as the innocent child in me.I prepared how the Phoenix does before it turns to ash. I was born and let the fire of emotion build up right before it creates a new version. That emotion is still building. Thanks to God.
Did those things prepare you for this role on TGP?
Yes it was a blessing and way of God how it all worked out. I was slowly coming into being an actor waiting for the day I could show God I was determined with this gift he gave me. And when I applied for the audition I was shocked to see I would actually have a chance to perform to the world through God. I was nervous cause I felt what if you wasn’t ready but I knew I was because it had been 13 years of daily preparation for this chance. I was not going to let fear stop me from raising to the next level of being able to call myself an artist.
While working on TGP what things helped you actually walk the path of the character you portray?
Honestly watching news and witnessing other artists the industry has a reputation. Which if I can advise do not ever follow. Be your own leader. I grew up seeing my role models on television were not realistic in the way the walked after the show. I promised myself I wouldn’t be that way after taking Hakeem into me. I would fuse Christopher Michael and Hakeem and create this being of my own. Being Hakeem brought a spiritual battle. An emotional ride that was surprisingly very short. At first as it still is now, was very fun and exciting. Then I witnessed the enemy trying to interfere. Some days I was unaware of the enemy. My graceful family was always there to assure we would never let the enemy win and today I sit here writing blessed that Hakeem a gift from The Graceful Path which was gifted by God, are in me forever to daily remind me of the beauty of it all. While working on The Graceful Path and being Hakeem was the final pull into God’s arms that I needed to live this life in Godhood.
Did you ever imagine that you’d be working on a christian based production?
I mean. As an actor and a hungry starving artist one would say they would play any role given to get the opportunity, but I was a little picky. I have been offered commercials and turned them down due to the image they portray to the world and what they would say about my image. This goes for other opportunities. I knew patience brought a virtue and I didn’t want anything thrown at me. I waited and was blessed to see a Christian Drama series up for grabs and I went for it. What could be better then this?!
Is there a different type of training that takes place while working on a christian series vs. a worldly one? If so, explain.
Yes, a lot of mental preparation. You will be tested and the test for me was rather hard but easy. I say hard but easy because it became really serious when I let God take over me. I saw what Jesus had to deal with and I admit I wasn’t as strong a couple times. It definitely grew my respect for him extremely. Though I have always had love for our savior. I realized his patience and his unconditional love. I have been on the production for five months since our first table reading. It was very easy in my eyes to defeat the attempts thrown against me while working and becoming into Christ. I know the difference is grand because three months before The Graceful Path I was in 7 plays all taking place in one night. I had to perform one character then six others in one evening. That was tiring but fun. Still serious but did not effect my life how a show about faith and God did. The play was fun. The Graceful Path was fun. The difference of the two. In the play I battled the tasks alone. In The Graceful Path, God and I battled on each other’s team to achieve the tasks.
God bless, C.M.

The Graceful Path Season 1 Finale Blog
By: Christopher Michael
Im coming to you today to talk to you all about The Graceful Path series which recently had its full airing and season finale.
While working on this show I had the pleasure of meeting many different beautiful beings with so many interesting stories of life of their own. I’m talking about characters, directors, and the actors/actresses portraying those characters.
The storyline that stuck out to me out of all these people..even though I enjoyed all stories and took everything from them I could. I really loved Hakeem’s. Yes it sounds biased due to the fact I am Hakeem, but I enjoyed it, because I spent more time with him as he entered me. He is not like others I’ve met. Yes there are people like him out there, I have just never had the pleasure to get to know them as personally as I have him. Hakeem is a very positive, disciplined individual from what I know, he has tests as we all do but one thing I learned is he thinks before he acts. He takes a moment and sees what God would want him to do in the situation.
Hakeem to me just could be a good example for the youth, teen, mid aged, elderly, females, and males. He is successful through these tests and by following God’s path, the graceful one. He is able to live, love, and laugh with a gorgeous spirit aiding those the Lord has put in his way.
As I followed the storylines the finale definitely had my interest from the first day I got episode 1 script, then realizing I was highly curious about how this would all end since I got the call back from the casting call.l leading to the audition.
I just really wanted to see how this was all going to reconnect people, or divide. Highly curious if the story would continue after, and good news it will! Season 2 began its process, thank god and the pen he is using to deliver this story, shoutout Chantè! With that all said.. The series finale episode 6 delivered a beautiful array of acting, questions answered, camera shots, great wardrobe-hair-makeup, writing, and most of all leaving me wanting to see more and what would happen next. I personally can not wait to see whats going on with everyone in their next chapter.
As I was waiting for the finale I did happen to get deeply into one scene and it is Episode 3:…The Breaking of His Heart at the time mark 36:33 where Nathan is confronted by Kim about his sexual orientation. I was just caught into everyone, especially Ryan Cook’s portrayal of Nathan being exposed and releasing his questionable battle of him admitting his thoughts on the confusion if he was gay. I just never seen something as real, on the show it came out beautiful but having the pleasure to witness it be filmed I thought I was witnessing a real life ordeal.
Out of all these forever embedded memories I do have to say that as a viewer I recommend watching all of the episodes. Trust me you will end up finding yourself watching them all once you see one anyways. Plus you will receive the pleasure of having witnessed the whole beautiful story unfold. If I had to recommend the episode to watch I would highly recommend watching episode 1 first, because it was written with that being the first in order, then 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 after haha.
I have had such a pleasure taking this time writing this for you all and I do hope everyone is well physically and spiritually.
May God always be with you,
Christopher Michael
